Court blocks COVID-19 vaccine mandate for California prisons

“A federal appeals court on Friday temporarily blocked an order that all employees in California prisons must be vaccinated against the coronavirus or be granted a religious or medical exemption.
A panel of the 9th U.S. Court of Appeals granted a request to stay the lower court order from September pending appeal. He also expedited the hearing process by setting a December 13 deadline for opening briefs.
The vaccination warrant was supposed to have come into effect on January 12, but the appeals court is suspending execution until March, when the appeal hearing will be scheduled.”
